Deeply rooted in the beating heart and soul of the Elementary Festival are our awesome Djembe Workshops.

Over the years we have had the dynamic Kakatsitsi master drummers of Ghana and the spectacular Chris Puleston running drumming workshops for us.

This year we are delighted to have the devilishly handsome Abdul Conteh from Gambia keeping the beat going all weekend. You may have met Abdul along the way last summer at lots of different festivals, running workshops on Didge Tall Paul’s stall (Your Festival Host).

Abdul brings pure joy to the festival scene with his never-ending smiles!! Joining him will be some special guest master drummers to add to even more magic to Elementary’s drum workshops.

Abdul will have lots of drums to use but these workshops are so popular he may run out so if you have a djembe of your own bring it along or you might even feel like treating yourself, at the same time, as supporting Abdul by purchasing one at the festival.
